Overview
A project of brand development for an electrical switch company looking to bridge the gap in the switch cover market by offering a luxury look for a fraction of the price. The name of the brand is Colux. Lux is a standardized unit of measurement of light level intensity, which is commonly referred to as "illuminance" or "illumination".

The approach
When considering the look and feel of this brand, the client wanted these descriptive elements: on one hand, “sleek” and “stand out” interjected with strong lines and solid colors with a heavy emphasis on metals; on the other hand, they wanted a feminine characteristic with an approachable side as well. There was a consensus from the beginning on both of our sides that we want to move away from black and gold, plain logos.
